Why I became a Doctor
My choice to become an orthodontist began in middle school through the inspiration of my own orthodontist in New York. I remember the wonderful relationship he and his assistants had with each patient. I was amazed how even 15 years after my treatment he remembered things about me and my family. Through his example, I strive each day to do the same in my practice. I believe that orthodontics is the greatest job in the world.
Dr. Charoenkul attended Bucknell University for his undergraduate degree and then completed his graduate work at Georgetown University, receiving his dental doctorate at Columbia University where he focused on orthodontics. He is very dedicated to continuing education and staying up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in dentistry. After dental school, he furthered his training in general dentistry and oral surgery during a residency at Montefiore Hospital in New York City. Prior to moving to Washington state(enter year), Dr. Charoenkul was a clinical instructor in orthodontics, training future dentists at his alma mater.
I grew up in the suburbs of New York City but moved to Bellevue, WA in 2004. I am married and have two children and love spending time with them during their numerous activities, especially coaching their various sports teams. I enjoy training for and competing in triathlons and Ironman competitions. I also enjoy traveling, photography, graphic design, and working on home improvement projects.
